Hello everyone, how are you this week? I hope you have had a blessed week and you had a fantastic Easter. No chocolate eggs for me this year, I need to lose a few pounds, well more than a few pounds truth be told. Anyway, never mind about that, here we are again, episode 3.
Thanks to those who have been in touch about the last episode with William. It has gone down really well, as has the idea for the podcast itself, so please keep sharing and letting people know it exists.
So, this week I had the privilege of chatting with John. John is a lovely guy, a real character. He is a well known and a very well liked guy around the city (Glasgow). John has years of experience living with addiction and homelessness and is best place to offer advice and support to those who wish to leave that world but unsure how to do so. He is an inspiration to those who want to change but think change is beyond them, so, I implore you, listen to J's story, share it with people you know and spend some time in his company, your time won't be wasted.

So friends, how are you? Hope you have had a blessed week. We have arrived! Here we are, episode 2! The beginning of the real stuff, and what a beginning it is. This is a chat with William. I haven't known William for long, just a matter of weeks, but he is such a lovely guy I feel as though I have known him for years. He is such a warm, kind and respectful person who is so appreciative of what he has in his life just now. Circumstance meant that his life took a wrong turn, he made some mistakes, with tragic results, but now he's looking to move on with his life and contribute to society. His story that will challenge you, it is a story that will raise some questions and maybe doubts in your mind and ultimately some people listening may not like it, but there will be many who will and be heartened by what he says.

Homelessness?
The ARCH Resettlement Centre, Glasgow, Scotland introduces to the world, homelessness as experienced by people living and working in the most deprived communities of Glasgow and the West of Scotland.
Your host, Brian Reid, who is the manager of a commisioned supported accommodation project in the heart of Glasgow, will guide you through the myriad of heartbreaking tales and stories as told by people with lived experience. Brian, along with a dedicated staff team, work with and support men, from many different backgrounds and social settings, who all have one thing in common; they have been or are currently experiencing homeless; they have nowhere to call a home or a place of their own.
How does this come about in a first world country in the 21st Century? What can be done to change this; what can be done to help those who are in need of a home? Why do people become homeless? What are the causes of homelessness and can these be eradicated? What is homelessness?
Join us each week in discussing the causes, the harmful effects, the choices (good/bad), the attitudes (good/bad), the solutions to ending the scourge of homelessness and to also rejoice in the positive stories and outcomes of the men who have been successful in breaking the cycle.
